I'm a soccer fan, so I'm biased on this one. I'll take the advice to always be pointing or running to heart. There are multiple parts of this that I will keep thinking about. I was surprised to hear Brene Brown talk about what a good short leadership book it is, but she is right. I can see myself using it that way with groups in the future.

I loved this book. I didn't realize how much I discredit myself being a woman in the workplace until I read this. Why do I do this? Because I'm a good southern woman from an older, but on the cusp of a newer generation of woman. I'm kind of in the middle somewhere. It's kind of what I have been trained to do, but didn't ask the question of why I have to do this a certain way. And I love the notion to create a wolfpack and not to be afraid to be with other women. Also, we need to stop competing with ourselves, but sadly this will take awhile to remove.
My only issue is the typeface. Wow! That was big typeface. So, I finished this book really quickly.
But it's a great short read to get to the point. I can't wait until my niece is old enough to read this and understand it. I want her to take note of the ideas in the book so she will stop limiting herself.

Very quick read.
“Women just stop following the old rules which exist only to maintain status quo. If we follow the rules we’ve always followed, the game will remain the same. Old ways of thinking will never help us build a new world.”
