Another book club book! Mostly a discussion around the use of language in cults and how that is a similar aspect to somethings that may not be considered traditional cults but are cultish. This includes MLMs and workout groups. I thought it was pretty good, it definitely clarified why some of these things feel like cults even if they don't really have a religious bent.

A really interesting investigation of American cults and near culty things. The analysis of the linguistics throughout made this feel like more than just falling into a Wikipedia rabbit hole. As someone fairly interested in linguistics and cults I'd say this has more cult content than linguistics but what do I know. Also a surprising amount of trump references
Off to join a few more cults just to be safe

4.5stars but I rounded up
