Rilke's writing, true to form, is outstanding, his immense talent evident even his simple missives. Interspersing his poignant recollections of Cezanne's work and life with meditative melodies on Parisian weather, Rilke's writing has moments of epiphanic clarity and beauty, despite the mundanity of his more monotonous life.
