As a Ren Faire fan, I really liked this setting. The story was fun and lighthearted. I enjoy a romance novel because they usually have a predictable plot and happy ending and thats what I needed so thats what I liked about this.

This was adorable. I love a Ren Faire moment, and the character development for Simon Emily was on point. The only issue I had was that I couldn't help picturing an old work friend as Simon and then the sex scenes got REAL WEIRD and I would not recommend.

“I don’t think you’ve ever been wooed. Have you? . . . Courted. Swept off your feet. Had someone show you how you make him feel.”
“I…can’t say that I have.” That was an understatement.
“Then brace yourself.” He straightened up and backed away from me a step or two. “I’m going to woo your ass off.”

📜 First person POV (Emily)
📜 Enemies-to-lovers
📜 Small town vibes
📜 Forced Proximity
📜 Renaissance Faire
📜 Slow burn 🔥
📜 Banter (mostly surrounding classic literature 🙌🏻)
📜 In character for Ren Faire! (The new woman to town & the teacher become the bar wench & the pirate 🏴‍☠️😍)
📜 Growth in the MCs; past relationships and trauma are worked through
📜 Well established side characters; found family & bonds formed with existing family unit

⚠️ Car accident (in the past), injury/ injury detail, death of a sibling (in the past), cancer, toxic relationship (in the past).
