I really loved this prequel of Labyrinth and look into Jareth's life. It tells about a goblin who's tasked with caring for Toby and decides to tell the boy a story of the great owl Goblin King and quest for a successor. I really liked how the mother's experience in the Labryinth was completely different than Sarah’s, which I felt added more to the world. I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading the rest of this series!

This is amazing, a small prequel of sorts about how Jareth got there. The art style is GORGEOUS and it has many connections and funny winks at the movie's storyline (besides being a small story told by Jareth during Sarah's journey), it shows characters that accompany the countess as sort off counterparts to those with Sarah, and gives a deeper understanding of how the Labyrinth itself may work.

When I saw Labyrinth had been made into a graphic novel, I had to try it out. Turns out this is Jareth's origin story, so while adult Jareth is here telling his story to baby Toby, its actually more focused on his mother, Maria. The art is very good, but I'm not in any rush to continue...3.5

Gorgeous art and a genuinely enjoyable piece of of fanfic. It's been a while since I enjoyed a graphic novel series this much.

Again, I'd prefer it if this series were managing a touch more original adventures instead of just very thinly veiled copies of scenes/incidents from the movie.

BUT this one is probably still the most in-depth and complicated of the series thus far and begins to delve more into the psyche of the characters involved.

Still can't possibly resist reading more of Jareth's backstory!

I love this, it stopped too soon. I can't wait to read the next part.

A nice, if fairly predictable ending.

A very fitting conclusion to Jareth’s origin story that tied in characters and events from the original movie quite nicely. I adored coming back to the Labyrinth and exploring its history, Jareth’s history.
