There's not much I can fault this one on ngl. It was a lot of fun of course and funny but also surprisingly a lot deeper than I thought it was going to be? A lot more conversations about race than I would've expected, but it was a welcomed surprise. There was a tiny bit that rubbed me the wrong way with some of the parenting stuff, but overall I'm really glad I read it because I was hesitant before lol.

So many people know Kenan Thompson as the hilarious SNL comic, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. In this memoir, he brings not only the laughs and SNL tidbits, but he gets real and emotional with his childhood as an actor, growing up as a Black man and his life in Black culture, the setbacks he faced in his career, and becoming a proud father of 2 girls. I could have used more SNL stories, but I also see why he wanted to focus on other aspects of his life outside of SNL. Of course I listened on audio and don’t think there’s any other way!
