To lektura do wielokrotnego użytku - każde następne czytanie ukazuje kolejne możliwe interpretacje i poprzednio pominięte niuanse.

This book wastes no time at all. Plot points kick off in very short chapters all from the perspective of the main character. It's a sweet story.
I saw the movie Wristcutters and it made me want to read the book. There's a number of differences but all the main beats are there. The ending is sweeter in the movie but you can finish the book faster than you can watch the movie. I'd still recommend both.
I'm guessing the reason why it's so short despite the world building is that it doesn't make a lot of sense. They even acknowledge that in the book itself. But in a way I guess it makes just as much sense as this reality does, only everything is a little worse.

A beautiful love story, packed with incredibly dark and political humor ending in complete despair with only the slightest bit of hope. If this sounds appealing to you, you'll enjoy Happy Campers.

Enjoyable set of surrealistic short stories about death and life after death. An easy read that dragged a bit, given that I don't love love love the writing style!

I believe I enjoyed the film better - “Wristcutters: A Love Story”. But this short story was still very enjoyable! An insightful but dark look at life and the afterlife.
