Unlike Elio with Orion, there’s a clear reason why Salvatore hasn’t pursued Dante sooner. He’s trying to build trust that’s extremely slow going when Dante’s guard is way up to the point that he’s like a bomb ready to explode.
Dante is fascinating to me because he’s like a hybrid between Sparrow and Elio. He’s aggressive and domineering, but deep down he’s actually a brat who needs release in submission. It takes Salvatore’s infinite patience to get Dante to a place where he can feel safe enough to give up control.
While I don’t think Salvatore goes through any arc where he changes, that’s fine because Dante has so much going on between discovering he’s not actually a Dom and finally revealing the backstory of his incestuous pedophile uncle. Salvatore is Dante’s rock and grounds him.
I do find it cute that both Dante and Salvatore are fashionistas. They have at least one wavelength they don’t ever have to fight about. Well, except when Dante fails to get Salvatore to wear a cheap novelty UFO tshirt for his own amusement.
One of my very mild complaints is it’s never explained where or how Dante got hacking abilities. He seems like he’s more of a performer personality, so him having computer skills that go beyond even Sparrow’s feels like a plot contrivance. I mean, I know there’s people who are good at more than one thing. It’s just we never learn what motivated Dante to gain computer abilities when he’s clearly so focused on dance, so those abilities just feel tacked on.
I’m still loving this series, and I’ll keep reading as new books come out. Obviously whatever is going on between Lorenzo and Declan is going to get dragged out for as long as possible, and I hope it’ll be worth the edging since it doesn’t look like their book will be coming anytime soon.

Unhinged Little Angel is the third book in K.M. Neuhold's Mafia Bound series. I think you could read this as a standalone, but I do believe this series is best enjoyed in order. Here's what you can expect from Dante and Salvatore:
❤️ MM mafia (lite) romance
❤️ First person dual point of view
❤️ Guaranteed happily ever after
❤️ Possessive main characters
❤️ Unhinged twink and mafia Capo
❤️ Dom/Brat
❤️ Forced marriage
❤️ Revenge and cathartic violence
As I say in a lot of my mafia romance reviews, I love that every author has a different take on that specific type of romance. In Kyleen's case, I consider this mafia-lite. Although these boys are a part of the mafia (or mafia-adjacent, in their partner's cases) and their hands aren't exactly clean, I wouldn't really consider this series dark by any means. It still has Neuhold's trademark humour, snark, and the angst is relatively low.
I did find Unhinged Little Angel got off to a bit of a slow start, and I had a hard time getting into it. I'm not really sure why, but once Dante kidnapped Salvatore, things really picked up for the better. I had a great time reading about their exploits. Salvatore was probably the calmest kidnapping victim ever, and he already has plans in his head to make this marriage a permanent deal. Dante was so snarky and unhinged, but the methods behind his madness bring clarity to his motivation. Although he considers himself a Dom when the book starts, I loved watching his transition to Brat even as he fought it. The spice in this book was incredibly hot, and only pushed the plot forward.
The next book will be Luca's, who is Sal's nephew! He was a great bodyguard in this book and I'm excited for him to get his own happily ever after.
