This books is heart-wrenchingly sad and true to how human emotion. It's a romance book like no other with the grief for a lost love and unexpected new ones. I love the reflective nature a lot of this book has and it tackles mental health issues and OCD very realistically showing the ugliness it brings out in people. The relationships in this book are incredibly complicated which is why it is so interesting and sombre. I also loved the structure of showing now for a chapter and then a memory allowing the reader to get to know the characters in different ways. Its almost written as a last love letter and reflection on a relationship until he tries to get back on track with life and it has a hopeful but not perfect ending showing that rocky roads do have brief pauses and there is hope more often than not.

Audiobook - 5 hours 27 minutes - My favourite book by Adam Silvera that I have read so far. I think the depiction of grief was well done, and I definitely emotionally connected to all the characters. The ending seemed to spring fairly significant events on the reader all at once, which I feel could have been alluded to better in order to make the story feel more cohesive, but I can understand if this was an artistic choice of the author. Grief isn't cohesive. A very good book.
