So slow. So boring. Both characters are so insufferable. Good day for divorce to exist. What did I even read this many pages of? Both of his wife’s lovers go missing back to back and nobody thinks anything of it bc he’s likable and prints books.

Could have been an interesting story but the writing was drudgery. And the ending was terrible. The main characters were unlikable and if they removed all references of drinking and watching his pet snails the book would be 4 pages long.
