There was just too much jumping around. It started off ok but then got progressively more and more choppy. Also, the FMC gives me whiplash with her constant flipping from feeling empowered to feeling weak and unwanted, and gives advice to others that she doesn’t take herself.

I saw an advertisement for this book and it sounded promising, the I have to stay with my ex while he's being a dick but his brothers defending me had my interest.
Unfortunately the writing was really poor, the same thing would be repeated over and over again on the same page. The inner monologues of the characters were always repeated.

Arguably the worst book I’ve ever read. I liked the idea but the actual approach was awful. The characters personalities changed every second, Sophia annoyed me with all her quotes about being strong. Joshua wouldn’t shut up about how much of a ‘bad boy’ he was. Kyle was a bipolar ass. And why did the story change every few pages? Where did Ryan come from? Pregnancy? Bax? It was dumb and dreadful and don’t even get me started on the spelling errors.

Soph was alright but a really weak FMC. She had some moments that were good but mostly she was like a beaten dog. It was pretty sad. I liked Josh, he knew his flaws and for the most part was pretty much unapologetic about them. This whole tell her don’t tell her was completely against the
character they were building for him but I could also see how it came into play. Kyle and Kayla were pretty basic mean kids and could have used a few more smackdowns. Specially Kayla.
