Leon's quickie about a former student returning to the college she graduated from and the second chance at the attraction between herself and the professor she still lusts for capitalizes on the fantasy. There is definitely something titillating about fantasizing about a hot teacher you’ve known. The societal taboo plus the instinctual need to be acknowledged as superior to your peers make for a heady cocktail.
At just over forty pages long, the story gets right to the point--after acting the voyeur to two college students sex outside--we quickly learn that Miranda has a taste for the domination. We're constantly reminded that she regrets that her former teacher, Professor Hewson, was too 'stand up' of a guy to ever take advantage of a student, no matter how many hints he was given. And her love of leather is made abundantly clear when she happens upon his leather jacket in her workspace.
The emotional development between the two characters is predicated upon their former acquaintance as teacher-student and the sexual development is also largely built upon that former acquaintance as well. Pretty much Stefan (the professor) sees Miranda fondling his jacket, fond memories of keeping his passions under control for her while she was his student and wham bam time to sex you up ma'am. Her secret need to be dominated by him is met with enthusiastic encouragement on his part and thus are we treated to their lovemaking.
The BDSM was tasteful and basically constituted tying her hands up, and him giving her some orders. Stefan didn't strike me as the sort to be into BDSM though--it didn't feel natural for him to be ordering her as her 'Master'. Miranda only seemed submissive because it was Stefan--she freely admits several times that she hadn't wanted anyone else since him and would do anything for him. The story was a quick, easy read and was certainly very steamy. It’s enjoyable, but could have done with a bit more fleshing out.
