Bought this book for a grand total of ¥1 - including shipping - to the amusement of the 7-11 clerk when I went to pay for it. I wonder if someone is scamming Amazon somehow. I got the rest of the series for ¥10, 1 each. At the time of writing (April 2019) I'm still only halfway through book 3, as I stalled a few months ago while I was back in the UK for New Year.
I already read the first one a few years ago, and I've seen the TV show, so I know what's happening roughly - but I'm definitely glad that the series includes furigana consistently, because there's quite a lot of difficult vocabulary.
Still enjoying the series, anyway.

L is getting closer to catching Kira. I’m always rooting for Light (as morally ambiguous as he is) because of his ideas about justice… But this is where his hunger for power starts to take over; he no longer kills heinous criminals that escaped the law, but he also kills innocent people that are only doing their jobs or just anyone trying to stop him. Very interesting.
