The comic and the tragic converge on each other here in absolute infinity.

Obviously, challenging. I haven’t read a philosophical work in years, but once I got in the groove this was really engaging.

Very easy to see why this is so important to so many people, it's probably the most convincing account of faith that I've come across. If you don't already believe in God it's unlikely to convince you, but it may help you understand and take seriously those who do. It has an interesting style and is full of formal tricks that make it interesting just as a piece of writing too. Needed a bit of secondary reading to fully appreciate but it was worth the effort.
