Overall I enjoyed this one. Good narration. Interesting characters. It’s a sleeping beauty retelling ish but also incorporates aspects of other fairy tales. Pretty fun. And I liked the surprise at the end.

I’ll probably read the next one eventually.

Filore Nenroa, historian and treasure hunter, was looking for clues to the lifting of a curse put upon her by her ex. Shane, huntswoman for hire, was just after treasure, but when Fi pricks her finger on a bone spindle in a ruin, she becomes connected to Prince Briar Rose - the sleeping prince of the fallen kingdom of Andar. Now it's a race to make it to him and wake him before they're caught by the one who cursed him: the evil Spindle Witch.

A thumbnail description for The Bone Spindle would be: "a gender-bent Sleeping Beauty meets Indianna Jones", and it's just as glorious as it sounds. The writing is great (though I would've been fine if it were slightly less good when it came to describing giant spiders
