✨ eARC Review ✨
⭐⭐⭐/5
So into you by Kathleen Fuller is a romance that brings together opposites-attract and second-chance tropes in a heartfelt story of self-discovery, recovery, and unlikely love.
What I liked :
The way the author depicted social anxiety and addiction recovery was well done—Britt’s anxiety issues felt genuine and relatable. I also appreciated the decision to keep this story spice-free; it didn’t need it, and that choice kept the focus on the characters and their journeys.
What I didn't like:
This story started very slowly for me. I almost considered DNFing in the first few pages, but I continued out of respect for the effort authors put into their work. After a few chapters, I started to get into the story, though I wouldn’t say I was fully invested. Another issue was the multiple POVs—they sometimes felt scattered and could have been more structured.
Overall, So into you is a good work of fiction, and and interesting and somewhat unique story of romance. It may not be my cup of tea, but totally see someone else adores it!

cute cover fooled me, this was actually pretty aight i guess. the subplot with the parents was interesting but i. couldn’t rationalize amy taking him back in the end! she gave that man so much heat and then just ….
stopped.
and i’m choosing to believe that the 3rd act was annoying to me because of a) miscommunication trope and b) brittany’s own in-universe infantilization. she was written and acted like a child. matter of fact, they both were!
finding out that this author writes amish lit suddenly makes alot of sense with this book’s narrative structure….

An amateur book that was a little too wholesome for my taste and contained way too many coincidences. Cute enough to finish, but not enough to remember.
Also, if you’re listening to the audiobook, it’s a little hard to keep up with the different characters’ POV chapters because they’re all read by one female narrator.
I did enjoy the artsy aspect of the book.

I love how each person in this story had there own story line and they all meet in the middle. And you knew it was going to meet HEAD ON. I love the talks around mental health and what steps people go to help and how some try to help but really they are making things worse in the end despite there best efforts.
Britt was a great main character and I laughed out loud and just overall enjoyed the story and 2nd chances.
Thank You Net Galley for this Audio Arc in exchange for my honest opinions.

Easy to read and relatable characters.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction for providing me with an e-arc, in exchange for my honest review.
I, unfortunately, had to dnf around the 20% mark. I tried multiple times to get into this book but I just couldn't. The plot was intriguing, I usually love when authors use art as a predominant part of their plots. The multiple POVs were a little overwhelming for me and, probably, made it a bit more difficult for me to connect with the different characters.
This was my first book by Kathleen Fuller so I wasn't aware of her background and the fact that she writes christian romances. It's my bad, I should've checked before requesting but that was also something that didn't help me appreciate the book. I'm okay with some references here and there, but the ones in this book weren't for me and it's alright.

I enjoyed this book. I read it at times and listened to it other times as I was given advanced copies of both.
Initially, when I first started this book, I was apprehensive because it was a bit confusing. The format takes a while to get used to but once you get the hang of it, you'll be fine. I do think some people would prefer the format to be less jumbled.
This was a good read for me because it had depth, the interconnectedness of all the characters was definitely interesting and I loved how realistic the characters were. I think most people would be able to relate to at least one character in this book.
The representation of mental health struggles was wonderfully done as someone who suffers from depression and anxiety, I thought it was written well and handled with care.
This book is about second chances, daring to do something new and loving & be loved even when we are imperfect, struggling and battling life's troubles. We can be messy and still worthy of love - giving love and being loved.
Thank you so much to NetGalley, HarperCollins Christian Publishing, Thomas Nelson Fiction and Kathleen Fuller for giving me an ALC and an ARC of this book!

Books focusing on social media never appeal to me, but this one intrigued me. However, I found it to be just okay. The constant emphasis on social anxiety became tedious to read about. While I empathize with people dealing with these issues in real life, it felt too much and didn't make for a compelling story. It was draining to read, so this book wasn't for me.
