Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

I had high expectations for this book, but, unfortunately, I was left disappointed. My biggest issue was the characters. None were lovable, realistic or relatable. I appreciated the sensitivity with which the author handled social anxiety, but Britt was not an accurate representation of someone coming out of her shell. It was an abrupt and sudden turn. Amy was, frankly, unbearable to read. Daniel was bland. Hunter was underdeveloped as a character with flaws presented, but never resolved.

Additionally, the writing was underwhelming and simplistic. The plot was predicable and quite stagnant with repetitive plot lines masked as new complications. I ended up skimming about two thirds of the book (a generous estimate).

Overall, I was left disappointed and bored throughout.

'So Into You' is an artistic women's fiction novel with multiple sweet romance stories weaved together. I love Kathleen Fuller's decision to write using 4 different POVs: Britt, her love interest, and her estranged parents. The relational redemption is this story blew me away! It was heart-warming and deeply emotional.

If you enjoy reading clean contemporary romance novels, then I recommend this book to you!

Special thanks to the Publisher, Thomas Nelson Fiction, and Net Galley for a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is a perfect fit for readers who adore heartwarming, slow-burn romances that explore themes of self-discovery, overcoming anxiety, and the transformative power of true love, with a dash of 70s nostalgia and a healthy dose of humor.

This book is cute romance not only about Brit and Hunter but also about Brit's parents. I liked that they were included in this book by getting their own story and POV's. The anxiety representation was amazing. I don't have a lot of bad things to add but I wished for more depth in a lot relationships that were developed.

So how do I put this lightly… ugh… I really didn’t like this one at all. And I did want to like it so bad!

This storyline is written as an I don't know how many people are involved POV. Which was really confusing to me. As soon as you get to know one person (kinda), you're being tossed into someone else's mind.
Have to admit, this story was predictable. Like… REALLY predictable. And it was overall just put together in a way that just didn't make sense to me. I mean… you just knew what would happen next.
However, I did like the awareness of mental health in all kinds of ways. So kudos for that.

The characters were okay I guess. It’s just that I really did not connect well with the story and was rather underwhelmed. I was just hoping for so much more.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

This book just wasn't for me. I didn't realize it would have such a religious undertone, which I should have anticipated more given the author's background. This just meant that this book and I were not destined to get along.

I usually try to get at least 50 pages in before deciding DNF a book, but I struggled with the author's voice right from the start. This is my first time reading Kathleen Fuller's work, and while the premise intrigued me—especially with the art theme—I had trouble connecting with Britt and Amy's inner experiences.

The general concept of the book really sparked my interest since I love art, so the idea of two people bonding over it sounded promising. Unfortunately, it just wasn't my cup of tea.

I really enjoyed this novel as much as i enjoyed reading it on holiday.

We follow Britt's journey from getting outside her comfort zone to falling in love. Secrets being kept from her mum to her mum having her own. We also follow Amy's  journey getting back into the dating scene. Britt is an artist which I personally really enjoyed, even wishing there was more. I also enjoyed the representation of social anxiety as well as alcholism, specifically the affect it has on the loved ones.

The characters were lovable and real. I must admit I did get frustrated with Amy amd her relationship with her daughter. Hunter and Britt were lovable characters and you were routing for them the whole way.

The plot was easy and simple which made the read bingable. I did feel that some parts were just there to be there, such as Britts bestfriends wedding, it felt like she was only included so Britt had a friend.

The Writing style was simple which fit the genre; romance. I wish the POV were actually difficult in voices. I couldn't always tell who was narrating.

The setting wasn't that obvious, though the artshop was a important place, which once again I liked.

The pacing was simple and easy, it felt fast but not rushed. Perfect for a quick romance. The ending felt slightly rushed, more so because I did not want it to end.

Overall I would recommend this to many readers. It made me happy and excited.

I didn’t realize this was a Christian romance novel. Not my vibe.

**Thank you so much to Thomas Nelson Publishing and NetGalley for giving me an ARC of So Into You in exchange for an honest review. These thoughts are entirely my own.**

So Into You was a fun read that tackled difficult subject matter in a meaningful way. However, I did have a few problems with it.

I really enjoyed each of the problems the characters face in their personal lives, but there was a LOT of secret-keeping that was not fun to read about. I knew there would be a huge fight between a bunch of the characters because of the secrets, and that was a little stressful to say the least.

Though the book dealt with meaningful subject matter like addictions and anxiety, I feel like there were quite a lot of shortcuts within the book when talking about these issues. I think a lot of the characters’ deep struggles were resolved way too quickly and neatly, especially given the amount of characters and their struggles.

Speaking of the amount of characters, So Into You has at least 4 POVs, which meant the character depth was questionable at times. It took me out of the narrative, too, because sometimes I didn’t catch when the POV switched. In my opinion, Britt and Hunter’s POVs read quite similarly, too.

I did enjoy that it didn’t have spice, and the love stories were cute (although I don’t know how I feel about the ending). I liked the Christian aspect, too, but it felt like an afterthought. I would be really engaged, and then a faith-based part would come up, and I would be taken aback because I forgot that it was technically marketed as a Christian book.

So Into You was a fun read, and I enjoyed the plot, but I think it just tried to do too much. Great ideas with meh execution.
