Stuck between 4 and 5 stars so it's getting 4, I want to save 5 stars for when I'm SURE it is deserving.
I think this is one of the best books I've ever read. Normally I am NOT an apocalyptic type shi fan, but this one was so good. Even though it seems like it would be a stressful book, it really isn't, because what's the worst that could happen? They die? Aren't we somewhat hoping for that? It's like someone has already ripped your heart out of your chest and set it on the table in front of you, and now you're waiting for them to stab it.
I love that the man and the boy are opposites of each other, and they bend and give into the other at times. My will to live would go out the WINDOW if I was stuck in a postapocalyptic world, I can't even imAGINE what it would be like trying to care for another person let alone a CHILD during that.
Mr. McCarthy REALLY knows how to make me sick to my stomach. His writing style is definitely an acquired taste, but I think it works really well in this book. I kept re-reading the end trying to figure out what it could mean, so of course I got on reddit and now I'm even more confused and sad. If you read this please let me know what you think.
(cannot wait to watch this movie and see Aragorn aka Viggo kill this role)

I think this is one of those books that is so good and so well written you have to throw stars at it. There are some aspects of the story I had problems with, but found it to be a great depiction of post apocalyptic life. I really enjoyed the dialog as well, although I know people have a love/relationship with it. So glad I finally read this one!
