The Brickeaters by The Residents

I'm a big Residents fan, and  bought this book for that reason alone. There are some glimmers of brilliance in it, but the biggest issue I have is that the prose is subpar. A lot of detail is used to describe mundane activities, and I feel like an editor needed to cut out about 1/3 of this stuff. The story is interesting, but it would have probably been better as an album. As it stands, I gave up reading it and listened to God in  Three Persons again, which was a better use of the time.
