And Brittainy Cherry brings us another stunning story that leaves us wanting more. I am in love with these characters in this story. This author has a way of bringing you into the story and making you feel everything these characters are feeling. It is absolutely beautiful. The prose, the pacing, the complexity of the story and the characters, everything was what you want in a romance story and more. I enjoyed every minute of reading this story and did not want to put it down. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.

There is something special to the way that this author writes. She always crafts strong characters that come alive in her stories. She has pretty common storylines that could occur outside of fiction which makes it easier to relate to the characters. I liked the growth with the characters and loved the ending.
There were a few parts that I wished had been fleshed out more, but regardless, this was a solid book by this author.

Brittainy literally wrecked me on this one. I ugly cried at least five times reading this one. While it covers deep issues, like abandonment, abuse, child adoption and fostering, and drug dealers it also touched on the hard issues of trust.
Hazel not only gets kicked out of her home when her stepdad decides it's time. So she stays in a broken down shack on the farm that she just started worked at, and her boss doesn't like her. He makes her work ten times harder in order to break her and get her to quit.
Ian gets forced into helping her, and ends up learning some of her secrets. He realizes that they have a lot more in common that he thought. While Ian is trying to get his band discovered Hazel is the one who supports him. There is a lot of shady parts of the business that is shown. Lots of hardship for Hazel I don't know where she found her strength. So many places this story went and I was full on board.

Hazel had a rough life and ends up working on a ranch with the wannabe rockstar. He treats her poorly in the beginning and I stopped reading for a month because I just didn’t like that. But I gave it another chance and the story got better!
Hazel helps the band write songs. Her relationship with everyone on the ranch gets closer. The couple gets together finally and then the band hits their big break. The couple do a good job of communicating and stay together. Even when the heroine takes custody of her newborn sister while her mother is in prison. Until the conflict, which I couldn’t stand. That frustrated me.
A happy ending for the couple.
