This book contains a lot of interesting information about what goes on behind the scenes at large museums such as the National Gallery. There are so many more people working to keep things running than I would have guessed! Even though the book is short, it took me a while to get through it. The text and photos didn't always describe things clearly enough for me to imagine, so I did a lot of Googling to get clearer photos of the art, learn more about the scenery mentioned, etc.
I would love to see something like this book in video form - maybe PBS could make a documentary on the inner workings of an art museum, if they haven't already!
