I might lower this.. I don't know what the eff I just read but I did not care for it. The ending was stupid.

This is probably closer to 2 and a half stars. It definitely feels like they rushed through a lot of storylines because of the unexpected cancellation, which meant that they lost the best part of the story, the characters.

I have to say this was likely my least favorite volume in the series and I was a bit disappointed with the ending. It didn't exactly feel rushed, but it did seem tacked on and things were oversimplified in an effort to end it all. The series was definitely enjoyable and is worth reading, but this peaked for me with volume 3.

See my review of [b:iZombie, Vol. 1: Dead to the World|8493612|iZombie, Vol. 1 Dead to the World|Chris Roberson|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1349051312s/8493612.jpg|13239119] for my overall opinion of the series. This volume concludes the series and has the most action by far. Still not a serious page turner but there are some definite character driven payoffs. I get the feeling that this series was cut short because the ending seems rushed compared to the rest of the series. I'm not disappointed that I read the whole series but I can't say that it really impressed me either. Just something I read through but probably won't pick up again.

Kind of a let-down of an ending, and honestly doesn't really make a lot of sense. If she "digests" the souls, won't she return to her normal size at some point? I mean, obviously that will take some time --but it's like the brain smoothie that Kennedy gives her --all the little voices mingling together make it less obtrusive.

Whatever.

I enjoyed the series over all, but as other reviewers have mentioned --for "reasons", the end was a rush job and I don't think they really thought it through.

Fun pulpy craziness. I think I would have enjoyed this more if I'd been able to read it in quick succession with the other three volumes. I had a bit of a hard time remembering the larger context and backstory. But all the monsters are great and I'm mostly just sorry that we don't get to see more of Gwen's life as a gravedigger and braineater.
