It took way too long to get to the actual tower for me. Reynevan was not a very sympathetic main character, and although he and Charley had their moments (the fake exorcism being a true highlight for me), the overall writing was very bogged down with too many names and places that were irrelevant to what was happening in the story. It just didn't work for me, and I won't be picking up the second book. I love Sapkowski's short stories and I feel he truly shines there, this book sadly wasn't it for me.

Per daug veiksmo, tas veiksmas labaj vienodas, personažai irgi vienodoki, ir visi vyrai - moterys pasirodo tik kaip šalutinės personažės "bobos" ar "mergos", apie kurias galima juokauti, jas aptarinėti ar kažką su jom daryti. Tad skaitant nebuvo už ko užsikabinti, kad norėtųsi sekti siužetą.

I listened to the audiobook. I love Peter Kenny's voice, he does a great job. However I just could not follow what was going on. There are so many places and names. There are some boring parts where I zoned out and then suddenly something huge happened and I had no idea how the characters got to where they were. I think I'll enjoy it more as a print format
