Definitely written by a dude.
Not bad for men's lit.

3.5/4 stars

As a millennial who truly is not very good with most technology, I found this book infuriating and terrifying in so many ways. Is this what tech companies dream of? I hope not. I absolutely recommend this book to any and all that are even slightly curious about it.

This book deals with interesting subject matter in a largely uninteresting manner. The plot unfolds with the eloquence and sophistication of a chemically sedated 12-year-old. Ultimately, I enjoyed reading The Circle but would recommend it only with hesitation and caution.

Holy crap must read
slow-paced

this book was WAY too long!! lots of pointless side things that went nowhere. completely unlikable, shallow characters. interesting concept but so anti climactic

Extremely petty characters and poor development. It's like a teenage drama with a 1984 theme. There's no believable world, no fully formed characters, and no complex themes. At a teenage reading level but with weird sexual side steps.
