At first I wasnt enjoying this, its definitely a slow start. Then i was confused. The ending was a rollercoaster. And now i am confused again. Overall it was a fun read.

The Patient is about a doctor named Rachel Goodchild who starts a romantic relationship with her married patient Luc LeFevre with deadly consequences. Lies, love, murder and betrayal is packed into this slow burn creepy thriller and what a mix it is! From page one you know something is off and as the twists and turns come the more chilling and suspenseful the story becomes! It's beautifully written and the characters are mostly unlikable but they have depth and feel real. It's a dark, gritty and a compelling read that will have you looking over your shoulder long after the last page!

I found the main character’s narration insufferable at moments. Her actions and attitude bothered me so much that it made rooting for her demise easy. The “twist” felt easily guessed as if the author wanted us to figure it out.

This one was really something. For the first half of the book I felt like it was like a million other books I’ve read. But then there kept being twists in the story I wasn’t expecting… literally until last few chapters of the book. Overall v good. Easy read. Little murder mystery. Gives woman in the window, silent patient, girl on train vibes, stranger in house vibes!!! Good book to end the year!
