I was already expecting Zeus's story since the previous book, but let’s say I had my reservations about Callie because of things that happened in the previous book (Atlas). And wow, with this book, they exceeded my expectations.

Callie believes that Zeus is after him to end his life (which is far from the truth), and they embarks on a cat-and-mouse game that doesn't last long because our Callie boy gets into trouble where he shouldn't, and oh! Zeus saves him, and they get into even more trouble. The story is deep; I won't lie that with Callie's story, I wanted to cry more than once because he has only known abuse. Finding someone like Zeus to lean on and be himself was something I loved reading about. Seeing Zeus serious yet tender when it comes to Callie, even when his personality is that of a "fuck boy" was lovely.

Overall, the story was good, with action scenes that kept me on the edge while reading. The cameos of all the guys from Mike Bravo and the love story between these two, although strange, was appropriate and slow (and the fact that Zeus gave Callie time to heal added significant points).

Reading Eden's books is always a pleasure and I can't wait for another book in this series 🥰

thanks to foreword pr for the e-arc in exchange for my honest review.

somehow this book is having teachable moments on how enjoying sex isn't bad, actually? which is just crazy considering we've already got strippers in this series so i thought that would have been covered by now, but what do i know
also: Too Much Banter
does anyone want to have sex with a broken (sorry, dislocated) jaw? genuinely asking
well that was a book and also i read it.

A good edition to the series - I wasn't rooting for Zeus and Callie as much as I have the other couples but I did enjoy reading Callie's growth overall
