I didn't like much. I mean, having a good time with the Mike Bravo team is always good but this was to much fuckary.

The guy Callie didn't seem really sorry for me, he did a serious thing but he acted like it was no biggie and should be forgiven right away.
Look I'm the first one to say that being in a toxic relationship is hard, but people in a toxic relationship mostly remain there because they think they don't deserve better and the only person getting hurt is themselves and when you don't have self love hurting yourself is okay but this guy almost killed a lot of people and that to me can't be blamed on a toxic relationship, the fact that no one, absolutely no one gave him a hard time or had a serious conversation with him pissed me off, they all treated him like he was a China doll.

I would have like this book much more if I saw acts of accountability.
Yeah he said to Zeus a lot of time he was sorry and blah blah, but for the people that sorry really was needed - nope - to those ones he nearly didn't talked.

There’s nothing quite like a group of slightly unhinged, ex-military men to make you have a good laugh and read an amazing story!
Zeus and Callie are something else. They’re both needing to figure themselves out and do it in the most spectacular and explosive way (literally). Getting to see both of them get their happy ending was so sweet and I love how their story played out. I can’t wait to see what’s next in the series!
funny lighthearted medium-paced

I wanted to like this book, but it was a miss for me. Oddly, it felt like the relationship development happened off page. I just didn't feel any connection between the MCs.

instant five stars for not having a terrible plot point at the third act!!!!

Freedom

Redemption stories crossed with never-gonna-fall-in-love-but-fall-the-hardest stubborn men are the most rewarding. They hit you in the feels, grab hold, and leave you complete. Zeus isn’t who I thought he was, he’s even better, and no one will ever love Callie more than him.

“Callie’s quickly becoming a habit that I had no intention of picking up. But like any other bad habit, now that I’ve started, I can’t stop.”

Gah, Callie, who is the best habit for Zeus to have. My heart hurt for him as he found his way, but I will celebrate the man he is and who he and Zeus are together and separately. They are precious and their love should be forever cherished.
