I adore this book so much!!! I love the book itself but I also loved it because it was almost sentimental to me, being one of the first books that I loved once restarted my reading journey.
This book included more depth than a typical contemporary book. It deals with some particularly dark topics but I feel as though it handles them really well. Especially the storyline of Justin, Tiffy's toxic and emotionally ex- I loved seeing Tiffy's development from being almost dependant on Justin and thinking his toxic behaviours were okqy to reaching out for help and knowing her own worth and strength. This is such an important thing for people to read about.
I loved so many characters, particularly Tiffy, Leon and Richie. Both and Tiffy and Leon have their own personalities and have differences too, but I feel like they have the same souls, like who they truly are inside and what makes them them just makes them the perfect match for each other
Normally in my reviews I tend to include favourite moments and quotes from the book but I used up an entire pack of sticky note tabs marking my favourite moments, quotes and anything else I wanted to remember, there are just so many special moments in this book!
Beth O'Leary is a wonderful author, the way she crafts stories is just perfect. I enjoyed having the two different perspectives, of Tiffy and Leon.
To conclude, this is one of my favourite books and I would totally whole-heartedly recommend

Excellent things in this book:
- extremely supportive friends
- male characters who are patient, extremely respectful of a woman's (even nonverbal) boundaries, and aware of the fact that they can't make a decision for her but can support her while she makes her own decisions
- "there was only one bed" x2
Moderate: Emotional abuse and Toxic relationship
Minor: Cancer and Death

Review TWs⚠️: mentally abusive relationship/gaslighting
I honestly instantly fell in love with Leon and Tiffy. I was waiting anxiously for them both to meet, as if reading a thriller I was turning each page waiting for the moment. And then it happened in an even better, funnier more romantic way then I could have imagined.
I loved how both Tiffy and Leon had such unique voices. By the end of the book I didn’t need to glance at the character name at the top of each chapter, I knew instantly who was speaking.
The fact that a lot of the information in this book is presented through notes makes this such a good fast-paced book, and I never felt it dragging.
I also adore how character focused this book is. I loved all of the characters we were introduced to except the obvious one I HATED. But every single one of them added something to the story and I loved that.
I loved how the book approached the more delicate, under-represented trauma of being in a verbally/mentally abusive relationship compared to a physical abusive one. I think this book really highlights how healthy and good counselling can be in the right situation and I was so happy to see this.
By the very last page I CRIED. I was so in love with Tiffy and Leon’s journey that I was so so happy with their ending.
The only flaw? I WANT MORE 😍😍
Also who else wants a Richie book, cause I know I do🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
