I really liked this book and how it tackles some heavy subject like abusive relationship and the overwhelming about of falsely accused minorities in the prison system. A really cute but also important story. I recommend it but be warned it deals with some heavy subjects and there isn’t any spice.

Honestly found it a bit dull, but there were enough cute/sweet elements that helped me finish.

Also saw they cast Lady Sybil as Tiffy in the TV adaptation and I just…don’t see that. AT. ALL.

The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary is such a sweet, funny, and emotionally moving a Romcom that feels like a warm hug from a great friend, that will make you smile from ear-to-ear. Tiffy and Leon share a flat/apartment, but Tiffy works days and Leon works nights so they’re never in the apartment at the same time, and have never met. They communicate solely through post it notes throughout the flat. This is unbelievable adorable, I love the main characters so much. They are both so quirky and lovable in their own ways. But I also love the side character arc of Tiffy getting over a toxic, emotionally abusive ex and going through therapy and working on herself and realizing her worth. Because of this emotional journey of working through grief, this Romcom is so multidimensional and moving, as well as sweet and funny. I loved all of the characters in this book, I thought that they were all so well developed and multi-faceted and lovable. I also just loved the premise of this story, and it was executed so beautifully. I highly recommend this Romcom!! Also, I highly recommend Beth O’Leary’s book The No Show, it is a great contemporary women's fiction with romance! I just love Beth O’Leary’s writing style and will be reading more of her books in the future!!
Taylor Swift songs: “new year’s day” 😭🥰, “state of Gracie (acoustic version) (TV)”, “clean”.
Side note: I listened to the audiobook of this, and the audiobook is so incredible and well done, highly recommend listening to it if you like audiobooks.

Age rating: I would say that this is 14+, it’s more emotional intimacy and the door is cracked open about a quarter of an inch, but pretty much fade to black
