This book is simultaneously exactly what I thought it would be and nothing like I thought it would be. The plot went exactly where I thought it would go but took a detour to gaslight, gatekeep, and girl boss; manipulate and mansplain (and a pit stop at prison). 

Dual POV and one doesn’t use quotation marks to indicate a character is speaking but instead used : like a script would and that annoyed me.

I absolutely adored this book. It gave me a wide range of emotions from happy to sad to joy to anger just everything in between it made me cry both tears of joy and tears of sadness. Definitely recommend

And they were ROOMMATES! (oh my god they were roommates...)

Excellent things in this book:

• extremely supportive friends
•  male characters who are patient, extremely respectful of a woman's (even nonverbal) boundaries, and aware of the fact that they can't make a decision for her but can support her while she makes her own decisions
• "there was only one bed" x2
