This book was cute! I did quite like it - for some reason neither character stuck out to me but i enjoyed still. They made a very big focus on the main character and her appearance the whole way throughout which is fine but books that do that tend to annoy me when we already know what they look like. The trope execution was odd but with current cost of living im tempted to do the same lol

This is definitely a “bookstagram-made-me-do-it” read and frankly, it did grab me from the first line. It’s been a while since a book has mostly held my attention this much. It didn’t unfold exactly how I anticipated it to but overall I was interested, even if I could semi-predict where the story would eventually lead. But though it held my attention, there was just something… Maybe it was the author’s writing style and the format (sometimes conversations would be in ‘ ‘ and other times it was Leon:

I didn’t like that the main character was described as unattractive and she feels insecure. I just finished a book where that was a big plot point and I hate reading books like this so I’m not going to do two in a row.

Tiffy and Leon are about to start sharing a flat, but they’ve never met. Tiffy is trying to escape her awful ex and Leon is seeking the extra income to support his family.

I had massive #FOMO on Saturday so treated myself and my god I think I’ve found my new happy place. In about 6 hours I had finished the emotional rollercoaster. I laughed, I was angry and I was nervous. This is so entirely heartwarming and I loved it from beginning to end. It was worth the lack of sleep ❤️
