While I think the book could have said what it needed to in half the time, I think that it has the tone of Mr. Rogers. All of the kindness and heart you could imagine came through in this book and I feel lucky to have watched him in his prime on TV. So glad I read it and so many nice, simple reminders about how to live.

What a joy to read. A gorgeous behind the scenes look at the man and his legacy.

This is both fascinating and dry at the same time. This is a very comprehensive biography that covers his entire life, but I'm very glad I listened to the audio book because LeVar Burton is a great narrator.

I still miss Mr. Rogers and all the good he brought to this world

A treasure of a book both in the depth and breadth of the writing and the research. A very fitting tribute and record of the man, Fred Rogers, who influenced so many young lives.

“Knowing that we can be loved exactly as we are gives us all the best opportunity for growing into the healthiest of people.”

Mr. Rogers was the kindest human and someone that I will always look up to.

I enjoyed getting a deeper look into the life of Mr. Rogers. I watched his show as a kid but didn't know about his life outside of that. He seems as wonderful as I hoped he was and he touched so many lives. At times the references to a person or quotes from people got hard to keep track of, it could've been more focused on specific people. But overall very informative.

Mister Rogers is wonderful! This book is rambling and poorly organized, though.

A sweet look into the life of the amazing Mr. Rogers. A little repetitive but it brought back so many childhood memories. Mr. Rogers shaped so much for so many and his legacy will live on.

This book delves into parts of Fred Rogers’ life I never knew about: his family’s wealth, his early studies in the field of early childhood education, his deeply personal relationships with spirituality and religion, and even imhis death. Its constant and effusive praise of the subject gets a little tedious, repetitive, and it is a tad long winded and dry in parts, especially near the end, but still, an illuminating read

I didn’t finish this one. I needed to move on because I have so many other books waiting to be read and I couldn’t get myself to read this one enough. It was a good book but maybe not a good summer read. I love Mr Rogers but it was a lot of detail.
