Having grown up watching Mr. Rogers on television as a child and having grown up in Pittsburgh there were many things I enjoyed about this book. Learning more about the extraordinary person Fred was and his kind, positive and nurturing outlook on life is truly inspirational. His fundamental lesson, “Human kindness will always make life better.” There were parts of this biography that I found were redundant or drawn out, but the importance of his lifelong dedication to the development of young children kept me reading. “Nothing can replace the unconditional love in the life of a child.... children love to belong, they long to belong.” He was an innovator and lived a life devoted to making others feel that they belong.
I couldn’t finish this book . Although it has some interesting information about Mr. Rodgers . The writing itself was so slow and repetitive .

Very detailed and annotated biography of Fred Rogers life leaves no stone unturned. This is a worthy and honorable man to receive such a close look at his life and work.
