Very funny and I also love French food. Made me want to visit France. Maybe 50 pages too long.

If there is a book about Bicycles and food, I’m gonna read it. Compared to other books of these genre’s, it was fine, but not my favorite

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this, given that I don't really care about cycling, or regional French food, or France! The author's self-deprecating and irreverent writing style really carried the book for me. My favourite chapter was probably the omelette in Mont-Saint-Michel.

Unfortunately, I enjoyed the book far more when I was reading it in the sun in the south of France. When I was back in cold and grey England it slightly lost its lustre. Still an enjoyable holiday read.

An absolute joy to read as we share the aches and pains of all those cycle miles and enjoy the scrumptious meals as she travels the length and breadth of France.
I am in awe of her achievements.
