Started strong, but then it got very, very long. I tried to have an open mind. After talking about it with a few people I feel secure in my feelings about some time travel plot holes and the fact that this could have been 300 pages less if it had started closer to the assassination. This book was not for me.

Spoiler: The only highlight still with me is the 'IT' crossover.

I have never read (or in this case, listened to) a Stephen King novel and was not that thrilled to pick up this one, but a friend insisted, and I'm so glad she did. This book is not horror; it's more of historical fiction meets sci-fi. I was sucked into the story from the first chapter, and I eagerly awaited every moment in my car to listen to more. What would happen if you could change the past? Are there consequences to the future? Is there a place for contentment and understanding? How much impact can one person have? There are all interesting questions to contemplate with this book.

The narration is excellent, with varying accents and vocal tones for characters.

Note that there is some strong language (the f-bomb), and while it isn't overwhelming, it is there.

Also, I did finish the book in less than 30 hours since I set the iPod to faster...

Wow. I loved this book. I lost my entire weekend. I didn't want to come up for air until I finished it. I'm not a huge Stephen King fan. I've only read one . I think I need to revisit his books.

Time travel isn't an original concept but he take on it was engaging. I was immediately drawn into the idea of how the world would have different if JFK had not been assassinated. I loved the main character and the different people who crossed his path. I definitely recommend reading this book.
