I like the art style and the cast of characters a lot- very wholesome friendship dynamics.
But, I am docking some stars for having a lot of very repetitive panels nobody would miss

I REALLY liked this, despite it being way outside my normal reading tastes. I'm so afraid this manga is going to end up being really sad. I'm already too attached to these characters and their lives :(

This review is for the whole series!!

It's been almost 10 years since I first read Orange and I'll admit I didn't remember much of it. The main plot, of course, I remember it but honestly, everything else was a blur. This helped me experience most of it as if I'm reading it for the first time and I wasn't ready for this. I got to know the characters all over again and their incredible friendship. They are just so precious together.
I knew the plot, I knew how it ends, so tell me why I still cried my eyes out??? I was so emotionally invested in the story. Specific little things made my heart ache.

In the main story (volumes 1 to 5) we mainly follow Naho, she's the one telling most of the story, yet I didn't feel that strongly for her or Kakeru. The character that made me ache the most was Suwa. He's so sweet and kind, so selfless. He goes through so much pain on his own. Volumes 1 to 5 broke my heart but the 6th volume finished me. Suwa deserves better, in every universe. The 7th volume wasn't as good as the rest but it was still nice to see the different POVs and even Kakeru's son.

Overall, Orange is full of laughter and joy, but also pain and sorrow. It's an emotional rollercoaster and I'll forever love and recommend it <3
