idk i vaguely liked it but it felt juvenile (like the writing style?)
I am going to be so honest right now and tell you that I wrote a beautiful review that was perfectly articulated and edited and then i swiped my page down to look at a message on my phone. . . and it deleted the entire thing
een beetje heel erg mid + zowel de pov van rose als die van wren lieten me soms een beetje vervelen, want als de een redelijk leuk stuk had dan was het leven van de ander dood saai…
Did not feel enough connection to the characters to care what happened for the rest of the book.

I wasn’t sure if I’d like it at first, it was a recommendation for a book that’s similar to the Barbie princess and the pauper movie and I wasn’t sold on it for the first few chapters.
But the characters are lovely, I got attached to Rose very easily which was a surprise to me since I don’t like whiners haha. The little touches of romance here and there are subtle and well written. I loved the novelty of this kind of story and the plot twists were just right.
I saw the similarities between this book and the movie and I honestly would see Anneliese and Erika as Rose and Wren so if you liked this movie but would like a fantasy twist to it I can attest that that’s the book for it.
