Daisy Jones & The Six is an absolutely captivating book that I couldn't put down. The writing style is so unique. At first I was really scared that I wouldn’t like this interview style but I ended up loving it.

The characters are complex and the story is full of twists and turns that kept me hooked until the very end. I love Daisy Jones so much. She is so strong and she really stands up for herself!

I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a fast pased book that keeps you hooked until the end!

While the audiobook was fantastic, the excellent cast of voice actors couldn't make up for the fact that this book itself wasn't that great. The format of the novel, a fictional interview transcript, didn't feel like the best way to tell this story. If not for the audiobook I might have tossed this away much sooner.

I liked Karen and found her relatable and down to earth. I was somewhat interested in Camila and Billy's relationship, but I didn't care about the rest of the characters. I didn't even care about Daisy herself.

Honestly, I just didn't get the point of the novel. I was waiting and waiting for something interesting to happen but nothing ever did. The "twist" wasn't much and it felt almost expected after reading Evelyn Hugo.

The saving grace is that it's relatively short, but it was a disappointment.

the second I finished this I knew I'd have to sleep on my rating
thought it was a 5 star, but honestly it really didn't have a lasting impact
so I brought it down to 4.5
SUPER COOL though, really enjoyed writing style

I loved Carrie Soto is Back but was disappointed by The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Daisy Jones & The Six fell somewhere in the middle for me. It was a fast read, with an entertaining storyline and eclectic cast of characters. In contrast to TJR's other protagonists, Daisy didn't feel as much like the center of the book, especially as spent most of the story spiraling deeper into her drug addiction with occasional flashes of brilliant singing and songwriting. In contrast, Billy's sweet (if corny) relationship to his wife and commitment to staying sober felt like the emotional core of the book. I also enjoyed reading the various bandmates and side characters' points of view as the band rose to fame. Overall, I'm glad that I finally read this and that it was more of a hit than a miss. 3.75 stars.

They owe me a song.

IM SOBBING! Karen Karen u will always be famous.

I loved the format this was written in because it feels real…ALMOST TOO REAL. I’m crying.

“We love broken, beautiful people. And it doesn’t get much more obviously broken and more classically beautiful than Daisy Jones.”

“I don't believe in soulmates anymore and I'm not looking for anything. But if I did believe in them, I'd believe your soulmate was somebody who had all the things you didn't, that needed all the things you had. Not somebody who's suffering from the same stuff you are.”

Daisy Jones and The Six is an absolute masterpiece! As always, TJR’s writing had me in a chokehold, from start to finish. Reading this made me feel like I was right there in the ‘70’s with the whole band, experiencing everything they did. Their whole journey touched my heart in a way I can't even put into words. This is an absolute must-read for all music and book lovers and will leave you heartbroken!

Adorei a forma como foi escrito, o género “entrevista” acho que casou muito bem com o tipo de história que a TJR estava a tentar contar. Ela tem sempre este fim de fazer com que as personagens parecerem que existem mesmo na vida real.
