I didn't expect this book to touch my heart in the ways it did.

Re-read 2022 and enjoyed it just as much

4.5 Stars -

Ok, so compared to literary masterpieces, 911 wouldn’t be so highly rated, but on pure enjoyment factor with good forward motion, some conflict and resolutions, it is a hit for me!

I loved the ménage and how it developed from a pair and a trio. I liked that the book was broken into three parts that really highlighted the stages of their relationships. It was interesting to see how the relationship worked when they didn’t see each other all the time. I loved that they were respectful to each other and when they had issues they worked them out. They all had their histories and learned to move on and deal with them. I thought the characters were well rounded and I could believe them all together.

The sex was Hot, Hot, Hot! While some may feel there was too much of it, I thought it did a good job expressing the feelings these guys had.

Only downside for me was that while 911 is set in Canada, there weren’t any overt indications of it being there except in city names. It could have just as easily been set in the United States. There are so few stories set in Canada that I want to have some regional flavour to cement it in my mind, especially as I am Canadian.

On the whole, a sexy book for which I will be sure to check the next in the series out just so I can see these boys again!

Not sure what it is about this book that has me conflicted when writing this review. Yes, it's a well-written book and yes, the sex scenes are extremely hot but... I guess it just ended too abruptly for me even while being too long at the same time.

Summary: Drew is a fireman who loves the rush and is looking for a roommate to share costs. Scott is a doctor looking for somewhere to live that isn't with his now ex-lover. The match seems more than perfect when Scott moves in and it's more than just costs that they share.

So what happens when along comes EMT Eric with his blond good looks and boyish smile? Will this twosome be able to become a threesome or does it spell disaster for all?

What I liked about this book: The story develops quite nicely and I agree with a few of the reviewers who said it felt like it was intended to be a serial and ended up a stand-alone. I loved that the story is truly a threesome and the trio love each other equally and without reservation. Their individual quirks are exposed to the reader at the same they're exposed to the other partners in the relationship and I understand why it was necessary to establish that Drew and Scott's relationship was strong enough to add a third to it. I just felt like once they became a trio and the conflict was introduced, the story was quickly snuffed out. Felt like there was a missing scene... or three.

Extremely hot read. Deliciously written sexual tension and no fades to black make this book a great one to read. It just left me with a hankering for real closure.

I'm not sure I entirely liked this. There were parts that were enjoyable, but there was a lot I just didn't care for. There were also a lot of spelling/wording issues. I usually don't comment on that because I get sometimes things slip through. But when it's over and over and it's disrupting the flow of reading, then yeah, I have to say something.

I liked Drew and Scott. I did not understand nor did I buy into why they wanted Eric in the relationship. It just felt like the author ran out of things to write about so why not bring in a third person. Yeah, it just didn't work for me at all. Especially after Drew and Scott had already been together for several years. There relationship was good. Other than Drew seeing a couple with three people on one of his calls, there was absolutely no reason for this. But it did add more to the story. Then you have all the families not talking to them, so then throw in more drama with Drew.

The ending was also a big no-no for me. There was no epilogue, we get no closer on Scott and his relationship with his parents and nothing more with Drew's parents. They just have sex and bam...it's over. I feel like I've been left hanging. Not sure if I'll read anything further from this author or not.

Drew is a firefighter who meets Scott a doctor while he is getting checked out for some routine end of shift checkup. Scott gives Drew a ride home and finds out that Drew has a big house all to himself. Scott lives with his parents and has to commute over an hour and with his residency schedule it is tough. Drew invites Scott to move in with him and it works out pretty nicely. Drew and Scott become friends but each of them are attracted to the other. Until one day when Drew finally makes a move on Scott and they start dating. Things go great and they fall in love. A few years go by and a EMT Eric stops in the picture. He is in the same situation as Scott was. With all the extra space Scott and Drew have Eric move in. After a while everybody is attracted to each other. Drew, Scott and Eric find a way for all of them to be together with all the obstacles that are thrown in their way.

I liked this story although I felt that the characters needed a little more depth to them. There were great love scenes but at one point it felt like that was all that there was. In the end when things got complicated it didn't seem like to much of a big deal. Overall good story but I needed a little bit more.

I give this story 3 stars.

Enjoyed this story, particularly the characters and initial development of the relationship between Scott and Drew. The introduction of Eric into the relationship didn't necessarily flow naturally for me (why did these guys want to open their relationship to a third without really knowing Eric?). However Eric's transition into the relationship was well done and the love between all three was believable. 3.5 stars

Spoiler
Drew: "Will you leave me?"
Eric: "No, can't be without you, I don't know how to live without you anymore."
Drew: "Scott?"
Scott: "I won't watch you destroy yourself."
Eric: "You'd leave us?"
Scott: "Not willingly, and not until I've done everything possible to help. But yes. I'd leave you both rather than stay and watch Drew self destruct."
