4.5. Some many good moments in this book and a great lead up to the finale. One thing I really appreciate about ricks writing is how visual it is. I can fully picture the scenes in my head like a movie with putting in effort. The dialogue flows so naturally that I can disregard the she said he said and just pay attention to them talking like a full in person conversation. Also every character has their own voice fully and I can hear how they are trying to express themselves.

The convo with Dionysus at the end was kiss

I didn’t love this book- I mean good writing and all but I just found it slightly repetitive and just a little too dark (both metaphorically and not metaphorically). Out of the series I think this has to be my least favourite so far. However I did like the ending and I did like how Annabeth and Percy have grown characters compared to what they were like at the start of the series. The author did do a really good job describing what the characters were seeing so it was really easy to picture. I would read this book if you like adventure, mystery, Greek mythology and tension. Honestly give it a go.
