Just as whimsical as the last one, I didn’t like this as much as the first but it’s still really sweet. Fairytale vibes,
Perfect for a rainy day even as an adult ❤️

Fun read. Good ending.

Listened to the audiobook format while building a wooden train, and it was a nice, light listen.

Only complaint is towards the end, when the characters started getting high pitched and crying verbally, and I started getting really annoyed with the book. But then that part ended, and it ended well, so it ends on a high note.

I loved Howls Moving Castle but Castle in the Air wasn't really my cup of tea. The story itself is really well done and on the same standard as HMC, however, the main characters and love story in this book just weren't it for me. I'm never a fan of immediate love and that is what happened here. But seeing more of Howl, Sophie, and Calcifer did make me very happy. I'm excited to try the third book and see if its more my flavor or not.

I liked this book but I don't know that it holds the same place I'm my heart as the OG "Howl's Moving Castle".

I do like that Howl and Sophie and Calcifer return, but the ending seemed a little abrupt to me.

The new characters are endearing and I liked them, just not quite as much as Howl and Sophie. Still, I'll read anything Diane Wynne Jones writes!
