I Could Be Yours delivers exactly what Hunting does best: playful banter, passionate romance, emotional payoff, and a quirky ensemble.

Hunting never disappoints. Essie and Nate's story is pure magic and it lands squarely in her signature blend of humor, swoon‑worthy chemistry, and emotional vulnerability. If you're a fan of Hunting you won't be disappointed. If you're not and this is your first taste of Hunting...Welcome to the club, there won't be a book in her inventory you won't want to read.

I adored Nate and Essie. Their palpable chemistry lends itself so well to the deeper storyline of abandonment and second chances and while Nate's story will break your heart, these incredible characters will have you swooning by the last page turn.

If you enjoy quick‑burn romances with character growth and stellar spice this one should be right up your alley. You also get to meet some old favourites which never goes a miss ❤️

(Side note...Hello Conor Grace, I Cannot wait to meet you!🥰)

•Nate & Essie

*I was provided an ARC if this book by the author and their promotional team

@helenahunting wrote the PERFECT fun and flirty second chance romance that immediately pulled me out of a reading slump!

Nate Stiles and Essie Lovelock shared an unforgettable kiss years ago, but life was pulling them in different directions so Nate made the decision to walk away. Through the years, their mutual friends have pulled them together, but there's been a mutual understanding that they are cordial with each other and NEVER talk about the kiss. Nate is as grumpy as the come, and Essie is a walking ray of sunshine. Since the "kiss that must not be named", they clash in every way possible. Now, Nate's brother Tristan and Essie's bff Rix are getting married and they're the best man and MOH. Both want to give give the couple the best possible experiences, but it means having to deal with each other, working together, and confronting their past...

I ATE UP the push and pull between these two and LIVED for the tension between them! Essie's sunny disposition made her the perfect counterpart to Nate's gray cloud. Their banter had me LOL-ing and of course, the sexual chemistry was explosive and sooo much fun! These 2 are nerds in their own right, and the "sexy" talk in this one was top tier! 🤭😂 (you really just have to read it for yourself) On a more serious note, I admired how these two confronted their past, and worked to start a fresh and genuine relationship--seriously, such a sweet second chance romance! 🩷

I adore how well Helena blends her worlds and characters so seamlessly in books! I become so invested in all her characters/ couples, and get so giddy over the chance to re-visit everyone I've come to love so much! This story was also such as sweet ending for Tristan & Rix! Although this is a standalone, I do suggest reading Helena's Toronto Terror series for the full background of the story and characters! Helena also did not shy way from dropping hints about future couples and I am SO excited for what she has in store!

Overall, this was an incredible addition to this extended Terror world! If you need a quick fun, spicy, summer read, THIS IS IT!!!

Unputdownable-  is that a word? 🤣

I love love and this one checks all the boxes!  Essie is freaking fantastic. She is truly sunshine and all heart. Nate isn’t as grumbly as he wants to pretend he is.  It was great watching them both grow and fall in love.

Essie has been burned too many times. She want to find her person and always things her current guy is the one. She is back in Toronto and sworn off men. It helps that she is so busy wedding planning for Rix.

Nate is Rix’s brother and gets extra grumbly when he is around Essie.  He struggles with guilt for something he did to her 6 years ago and the current strange has with her.

As they plan the wedding together we get to see how they fall into love.  The story is funny, sensitive, sweet and full of characters that I am happy to revisit. Kodiak and Lavender I’m speaking to you!  Falling back into Helena Huntings world is like visiting old friends.  I couldn’t love it more.

I was given this book as an ARC from the author for my honest review.

I could be yours is part of the Toronto Terror series by Helena Hunting.  In true Helena fashion this book is full of laughs and great banter.

Nate and Essie shared a kiss six years ago, but then he ghosted her.  Althought they both think that the kiss they shared was the best kiss ever  Now, he is the best man, and Essie is the maid of honour at a wedding. While working together for the wedding will Nate finally tell her what happened all those years ago?   Will sparks fly between the two of them?

You will see a few familiar faces if you are familiar with the Pucked series which I was super excited to read, along with the Toronto Terror players

Tropes for this book are

Grumpy sunshine
Opposites attract (He is the nerd she is the princess pink loving type of girl)
Second chances
Hurt/Comfort

5 ⭐️
🌶.5 for spice.

The perfect vacation romance to read on the beach or by the pool!⁣

This one is a standalone, but it’s woven into the Terror world, so you’ll get plenty of time with those characters as well!⁣

Nate and Essie, the best man and maid of honor, try to survive wedding planning and the destination wedding trip while dealing with some serious tension between them. ⁣

I love Essie so much! Her sunshine attitude and her love of LOVE make her the perfect candidate for her own HEA. Nate is the perfect grump who basically turns into mush around her. ⁣

Nate brings a little family baggage into the story, but I love how it was handled. I also loved how he made an effort to work on himself to make sure he was good enough for Essie.⁣

The audio, done in duet narration, was fantastic! Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood are two of my favorites and really brought these characters to life!⁣

Thank you to the author for an ALC of this book. All opinions are my own and voluntarily given. ⁣
