This book is about Tristan’s brother, Nate and Rix’s best friend Essie (If You Hate Me)

This book focuses on Nate and Essie being the Best Man and Maid of Honor for T & R’s wedding.

Nate and Essie have a small relationship history that fizzled before it became anything but it fizzled in a bad way.

They proceed to enter into a situationship that ends with them falling head over heels for each other.

They have some emotional obstacles they have to overcome to get to their happy place together and they put in the work.

They make a beautiful couple as they are opposite in some ways, similar in some ways and just click really well.

I absolutely loved how Essie is described as traditionally beautiful but he made sure to stress to her that when he called her beautiful it was her personality than her looks that made her beautiful to him.

This story was brought to life Duet Style by Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton. Two of my favorites ❤️

Helena was bringing the angst to this one.  I love a story with some unrequited feelings, missed opportunities, and some boneheaded decision making in the past. Especially if it was made by our MMC.

It's wedding time. Not for our main characters but for Essies best friend and Nates brother. And they've chosen Essie and Nate to stand up with them. It's a destination wedding and the bride and groom deserve it. Problem, tho?

Years ago, Essie and Nate had a moment. And it could have turned into something. Except Nate ghosted her. Now Essie is taking her maid of honor role very seriously and awesomely, and Nate is... being thrown in her orbit.

Nate has all of these preconceived notions about Essie. She's really a girls girl, but he's just putting her into this role. He really needed to wake up and see she was more than her outside.

I enjoyed it when Nate got his head outta the sand to see how great Essie was. And that one bad relationship example is just that... one bad relationship.  And the way these two get at it.

Oh gosh, being in the Toronto Terror world is just so great. Now, this one could be read as a stand-alone. We have met the two MCs in previous books in the series, but I honestly believe you can enjoy this one without reading the others.  (But I really, really recommend this series!) And you get all the characters, because these people have FRIENDS!

I enjoyed the friendships we see and the brotherhood that Nate shares with his brothers. He would protect them so much.

Helena also dropped some crumbs for future books, which made me so happy.

I had a great time listening to the audiobook of I Could Be Yours. The duet narration by Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton was excellent. They were truly the perfect Essie and Nate. I liked the rebuild of their relationship so much. Their interactions had me smiling with Nate's grumpiness to Essie's sunshiny personality. This book was really funny, sweet and sexy. I highly recommend having read the Toronto Terror Series beforehand as it's highly connected to this companion novel. It's such a plus to truly appreciate all the connections between the characters of this found family. I loved getting more of them all that's for sure.

Men who go to therapy, an automatic win.

I really enjoyed this one! It was refreshing to see the male main character dealing with mommy issues and mental health, which is usually more common with the female lead. The story was hilarious, full of competitive energy, and had the perfect amount of spice.
