I loved reading Hailey and Wyatt's story! Even though they are not meant to be according to the Pteron society, they are so drawn to one another! Their love hate relationship along with all the bickering made for an interesting book and of course left me wanting more!

Hailey... She is best friends with the Pteron's princess and is sent on a job to give a speech in her place. While doing so, she goes way off from the speech only to have more trouble coming in the future. This trouble starts with her best friend possibly being mad and firing her, but ends even worse than she could have imagined.

Wyatt... He has been in love with Hailey since the first time he laid his eyes on her. He knows they are meant to be, but Hailey always pushes him away since she believes Pterons are only supposed to mate with humans. His mission is to prove to her how right they are. In doing so, he fears Hailey may be in danger and only wants to keep her safe. The last thing he could take would be loosing his mate.

This was such a great book! You do not have to read the other Pteron Chronicles to know what is going on. Alyssa Rose Ivy does a great job at explaining details that might have been missed if you didn't read the other series. I cannot wait to read book 2 in the series!

I received Torn in return for an honest review from the author.

Hailey's brother is living in another realm with his wife as well as the one man who she's been avoiding since they had a passionate night together. When her boss and bestfriend asks her to give a speech at a supernatural women's convention she easily accepts. Upon arriving at the house she is supposed to stay at she finds that one Drago is the representative that will be at the conference.

While Hailey can't deny the attraction to Wyatt but she knows that they don't have a future which is why she left before. After deviating off her speech things she draws unwanted attention from a stranger who's determined to change things taking away the power of the society. After being put on leave by her boss for her speech she returns to meet with the supernatural stranger and figure out what is really going on and who she needs to stop. At least she won't be going alone into the lair of the sorceress because things are heating up with Wyatt. Plus another Pteron will be by her side as he's also been pretending to join the side taking down the society. Will they make it out alive? What will Hailey think when she finds out what's really going on?

I like Hailey a lot and she's grown so much through all the prior series books it was time for her to have her own happy ever if she might have to work for it. I always had mixed feeling that Wyatt was the guy for Hailey. I admit a part of me wished a Direwolf had won her heart but he grew on me though the book. They have this sizzling chemistry that just works so well.

Torn is the long awaited story of Hailey female Pteron who's always been the best friend and sister in the different series. I was anxious to dive right into her story and had to the moment it arrived on my kindle. Torn doesn't disappoint in the least it exceeded my expectations as another fantastic spin off of the Cresent Chronicles. We get to see a little of some of our past characters as well as an introduction to some new characters. The author has done it again creating another beautiful story to capture hearts as well as imaginations. I'm not a huge fan of cliffhangers but it actually works. I can't wait for the next installment to see how they are going to get out of this situation. I highly recommend that you check out Torn with is stunning cover and equally captivating story. I loved every moment of it.

It's okay.
I think it's best to have read the previous books in spin off series, Owen's book and Allies book as events in those books affect actions in this one. There are constant references to their history.
