I read 'Life Changing Magic' a while ago, and it didn't really click with me. But after watching the show I was inspired to try again. Re-read Magic, and then read this one. For whatever reason, I'm more receptive to it this time around.

This book was insane, and the audiobook even moreso. My two favorite highlights are:
  • The narrator inexplicably pronouncing manga “man-ya”
  • An anecdote about how owning a hammer doesn’t spark joy so this lady uses her frying pan instead

2/10 for practical life advice, 7/10 for entertainment
informative medium-paced

Great companion to "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up." It's full of anecdotes and tips regarding tidying up and helped me round out my tidying up skills. Not entirely necessary, but if the first book left you seeking more in the field of tidying up, then this book is a great read!

Sadly, this follow on to the author’s first book lacked its pervasive charm and joy until a short bit at the very end. But it was meant to be the practical how-to guide, which I didn’t need, so my bad. I certainly got something from her books, but that something came from her infectious animism and basic strategy, not the overly compulsive details.

Repeats a lot of first book

This is a great companion book to Life-Changing Magic that goes more into detail on the nuts and bolts of the process of tidying.
