Some further thoughts on decluttering your life. Not as POW! as the first one, but in many ways more useful. Less philosophy (read the first one for that) and personal anecdotes (ditto) and more practical advice on tidying up.
The first book was great but I was not ready. While reading this second book I read one section at a time and then tidied. It works.. At least for me! I don't have a lot of stuff but now I have even less and I feel that it all sparks joy!

Based on the reviews I've read, I really thought I was going to hate this book (the first one was a bit iffy for me... I'm never going to take my wallet out of my purse and thank it, and I am JUST FINE with bunching up my socks into a ball, thankyouverymuch), but I actually enjoyed it! It was really helpful to see diagrams of the way she folds things. Also, I liked having something that was more step-by-step than her first book. I have to admit that I did read her first book over a year ago, so it's possible that it would be overkill to read both back-to-back. While her outlook on some things is a little out there, she definitely seems to have helped a lot of people get rid of excess and I think that's great.
After reading the manga edition of her first book recently, I decided to pick this one up and see it what else I could learn. I expected more illustrations and didn’t find the ones included that beneficial. It is very repetitive from the original, and mostly offers more anecdotes and storage tips. It did inspire some adjustments in my kitchen, and I liked that there was a section about the world not blowing up if we don’t strictly follow the rules. I’m going to apply that to the “books” section and continue to keep all my unread books. ;)
I really loved this outlook on life of Marie Kondō! It was inspirational and actually helped me to tidy up. My house looks good as it never did before!
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this, full of useful information and the book has cute illustrations - easy to follow instructions when folding.
