I loved... LOVED KonMari's first book. It really spoke to something in me. This book is less about grand concepts and more about the gritty details of how to tidy and a bit on how to organize. I liked getting a little more information, but she didn't discuss some of the principles that spoke to me so loudly in the first book, so I felt less of an impact.
It did inspire me to get more weeding and tidying work done in my house - three bags of clothes and a box of electronic cables (so far) are leaving my house directly as a result of this book. So that's awesome.

I enjoy KonMari's enthusiasm for tidying and truly buy into its ability to change lives. This book was at times repetitive to the first one and some of the anecdotes were exactly the same which was a little disappointing. A good refresher and the pictures for folding were helpful.

sparked a little bit of joy but not enough to make me tidy up
I really enjoyed reading this book and it has definitely given me plenty to think about. Whilst I have not properly started my own tidying journey, I have become more mindful of where I put things in the house - I am now frequently returning items after using them and my house looks a lot tidier and organised, making cleaning far easier and less stressful.
I am very excited to start tidying my clothes (only gave this four stars as opposed to five as it has not actually spurred me into action just yet), but until then, I have at least taken on board the folding tips and have found that my clothes not only look nicer in the drawers and cupboards, but are more accessible and I am wearing a wider selection of my clothes, as opposed to one or two items (i.e. I no longer grab the items off the top of the pile and therefore wear the same items each week, but because all my clothes now stand upright, I can see everything I own).
I encourage everyone to read this book and question why we hold on to items that we don't love and that don't 'spark joy' for us. By surrounding ourselves with only those items that we truly love, we can create a happier and more positive home environment for ourselves and our families.

Much more useful and tip-oriented than the first book, outlining a step-by-step process. As someone tidy-challenged I think I could have used even a bit more guidance/advice, but... I think that's a personal problem
