"Spark Joy" takes certain aspects of LCMOTU and expands, using adorable hand-drawn illustrations to help you under stand. This includes organization and folding of your clothes, even!

Reread: A fantastic refresher that is inspiring, as I'm in the process of gearing up for a move. It is frustrating that at times I forget to live my best life in the dwelling I'm in now, instead of making do and waiting for the next move!

Update: Reread #2! I just moved again, and while I got rid of a lot of things before we moved, I am still going to konmari again. I don't have any closets or clothing storage at the moment, so I'm faced with everything that I own... At once! What a perfect time to keep only what brings me joy!

Reading the previous book changed my life - changed my views on tidying and sparking joy in my life, which led me to purchase a physical copy of this book. This is a part 2 to the life changing magic of tidying up. It is a good practical guide on how organize and tidy up your things. The drawings are done in a nice, relaxing colour…I personally love it. This is a book that I find myself referencing often, so no regrets! Really recommend.

The illustrations didn't add much except for explaining how to fold different kinds of clothes.

useless

Some good tid-bits here, but not nearly as awesome as the first book.

Many reviews say this is the same as the first book. I read them back to back and didn't have that experience at all. Actually, I've listened to Spark Joy on audible every morning before getting to work tidying. It's very inspiring!! The book is filled with explanations and new ideas, and the audio version includes a pdf for the illustrations. I suggest following these instead of looking up reader demos on YouTube. Most of them are modified (but don't claim they are), which pretty much misses the point.
