Have you ever finished a book and almost immediately wanted to turn back to page 1 and read it all over again?
That's what I wanted to do with A Sky Painted Gold. For me, this book was close to perfection. The descriptions painted a compelling picture of the surroundings and atmosphere without descending into purple prose. It was just so beautifully written.
I adored Lou, the protagonist, and I felt at some points I was going on the journey with her, discovering the decadent yet deeply flawed lifestyles of the young and uber-wealthy.
There aren't many books which I say, yes, I would love to read this again, but I feel this book will be reread for many years to come.
