The One Dublin, One Book choice for 2024!

I bought this in 2021 after begging my ma to take me to a bookshop after 3 days cabin fever during sick leave, but has sat on my bookshelf until this morning.

This is a lovely story. Challenging at times. A story of perceptions, change, addiction, mental illness, and above all - finding yourself.

Debbie comes a long way from the first chapter until the end. Coming from the farm in Kildare to Trinity and all she experiences in between. It is eye opening, and you really route for her.

All characters are fantastic, and loved how it all came together.

Should’ve picked it up off the bookshelf sooner. Really enjoyed.

One of the better contemporary novels I've read but still not exactly my cup of tea. At least something happened in this one!

Ah my fav genre of book - struggling girls in their twenties in Ireland.
Honestly this was so unique and funny. A book rarely makes me laugh out loud like this.

I'm not sure I enjoyed this book nor did I think it met the expectations set from the reviews and reccomendations I was given. Its possible that I didn't quite get it? I wasn't sure what the plot was, and there seemed to be so many issues raised and not fully fleshed out. I didn't find anyone particularly likeable.
